Update

Hi everyone,

With phrases such as ‘self-isolation’ and ‘social distancing’ becoming household terms (no pun intended) in recent weeks, it has also allowed time for introspection across the entirety of society.

At the Humble Verdict, we have taken this opportunity to explore ways in which to best deliver our content to you, while aiming to continue improving critical engagement among young people.

As a result, we are excited to announce that we are now permanently shifting our focus to a weekly newsletter. The aim of the newsletter will be to present topical issues or news stories in an engaging manner that we believe have broader implications and deserve greater contemplation.

Following a successful trial period towards the end of last year, we believe this is not only the most effective manner for us to achieve our vision, but also ideal for consistently communicating directly with our readers.

As community remains one of the cornerstones of our ethos, we will be including a monthly exclusive ‘THV Community Verdict’ section to our newsletter, where we anonymously share responses and address discussed topics at greater length.

So what does this mean for the website?

Fear not, the main site will now serve as a platform reserved for feature pieces. These will be long-form articles and interviews with individuals, whom we believe deserve greater recognition among young people.

Most importantly, we would like to take this chance to say a massive thank you to all our readers for your continued support. Our growth would not have been possible without the constructive feedback and suggestions we have been receiving from all of you. Our gratitude cannot be expressed in words.

Finally, in these unprecedented times it is important, as young people, to keep expanding our horizons through participating in discourse, interacting with what we read and reflecting on the world around us for the betterment of society.
